Opposition not interested to run Rajya Sabha smoothly: Venkaiah Naidu

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said that the opposition is not interested to run the Rajya Sabha smoothly. Replying to a query outside parliament, Mr Naidu alleged the opposition is determined to flout the rules.

He said, government is waiting for the opposition to realise the need to discuss debate on important issue concerning the people. He also said government is not considering any ordinance route for the passage of the Insurance Amendment Bill.

On a question whether there is any proposal to rename Delhi, Mr Naidu made it clear that there is no such proposal.
