Congress on Tuesday said that it is unfortunate that the opposition is not allowing the Parliament to function. Briefing reporters in New Delhi , party spokesperson Rashid Alvi said that the Prime Minister has already assured that the government is ready to discuss all issues.

He said that important legislations need to be passed and Opposition must not disrupt the proceedings.

Mr Alvi added that BJP's decision to boycott Home Minister P Chidambaram is uncalled for as there is no report against him in any case by any investigating agency.
