Opposition must have been part of constructive deliberations on GST: Venkaiah Naidu

Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said that GST has been embraced by all states and stakeholders and opposition instead of criticizing must have been a part of constructive deliberations. <br/><br/>Speaking to media in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu complimented traders, industry and all stakeholders for rising to the occasion and embracing One Nation One Tax, enabling a smooth transition. <br/><br/>The Minister appealed everyone to join hands in taking forward GST in direction of benefitting people and economy instead of spreading misleading statements. Saying that some section of opposition specially Congress blindly opposing reform, Mr Naidu appealed Congress don't go against mood of nation. <br/><br/>He said, on one hand Congress leaders claim that they brought GST and on another hand they oppose it and says it is imperfect which shows their double standards. He said, GST is a major economic reform similar to what was undertaken in 1991.<br/><br/>Replying to a media query on CBI investigation against Lalu Prasad, Mr Naidu said, the law is taking its own course, the government or party has no role in it. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said, the incidents happening in West Bengal is unfortunate. He said, everybody's life should be protected whether he or she comes from the majority community or miniroty community.
