Opposition members in Lok Sabha today raised slogans during question hour seeking waiver of farmers debts and to fulfill government's assurances on demands of the farmers. As soon as the House met for today's business, Congress members demanded discussion on agrarian issues. <br/><br/>Speaker Sumitra Mahajan expressing her displeasure over non-presence of opposition members during the discussion which was held day before yesterday, appealed the members to maintain order in the House and participate in the proceedings. It was not heeded by the opposition, as Congress and RJD members trooped into the well raising slogans against the government. <br/><br/>They continued raising slogans throughout the question hour. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananta Kumar said that Congress members' behavior is only an eye wash towards farmers' issues. He also criticized the Congress for creating hurdles in the proceedings of the House and being absent during the discussion on Wednesday. Question hour was conducted amid din in the House.
