Opposition leaders meet to discuss economy, RCEP negotiations

Opposition leaders met in New Delhi today over issues of economic slowdown, unemployment, agrarian crisis and the proposed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel, Manoj Jha of RJD, Sharad Yadav of Loktantrik Janata Dal, TR Balu of DMK were among those who attended the meeting.<br />''<br />''Briefing media after the meeting, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad said unemployment is high and decrease in GDP is a cause of concern. The senior Congress leader said that private investment and industrial growth has slowed down. Mr Azad also told that the proposed  RCEP free trade agreement will cost a lot of domestic jobs.<br />''<br />''<br />
