In Odisha, opposition Congress members on Tuesday boycotted the address of Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare and walked out of the house over Naveen Patnaik government's alleged failures on all fronts, minutes after beginning of the budget session of the Odisha legislative assembly. As soon as Bhandare began his address, leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh stood up and tried to disrupt him. Accusing the government of having failed on all fronts including law and order, Singh made a parallel speech. He walked out protesting continuance of governor's speech and was followed by his fellow party members. Congress members walked out for the second time after the obituary references for the former legislators as well as the police and security personnel who lost their lives in recent months.The 29-working-day session of the Odisha legislative assembly is scheduled to conclude on 7th of April with an interval from 1st March to 13th March. The state budget is scheduled to present by Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei on 24th of this month.
