The Congress today accused the Opposition of deliberately stalling the proceedings of Parliament.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, Party Spokesman Rashid Alvi said that the government is ready to hold discussions on all issues including FDI in retail. He added that the Opposition can not dictate terms to government regarding policy decisions.
Trinamool Congress on the other hand maintained that it will oppose the government’s decision as it is against the interests of common man.
Party leader Sudip Bandopadhayay said that although they have no coordination with the Opposition on this issue, but they will put pressure on the government to recall the decision.
Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh said that they will oppose the decision both inside and outside Parliament as it will have adverse impact on livelihood of several small retailers.
