The BJP has asked the government to act on the CVC's report on the construction works being carried out for the Commonwealth Games. The demand comes in the wake of instances of corruption and deficiencies in the constuction work in different stadia which has been cited in the report. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the Prime Minister should keep an eye on the preparedness of the Games. Echoing the sentiment, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury also said the corruption issue should be investigated as the Games is a matter of national pride. LoK Janashakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan also demanded a high level inquiry into the alleged corruption issue in the Commonwealth Games.
