Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu today appealed to Parliamentarians to make an inspiring fresh start beginning with this session. <br />''<br />''He said they have to live up to expectations and be role models for other legislatures. Speaking ahead of Zero hours, Mr Naidu said, it should be the collective duty of all Members to strive for better and effective performance in the Upper House. <br />''<br />''He said it is an opportune time for all to reform the functioning of the Parliament so that the lives of the people can be transformed as they have reposed immense trust in each one of the Members.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Expressing concern over repeated disruptions in the House, Mr Naidu urged the MPs to think of every Indian before they debate or disrupt.  He said, there is a need to reassure each citizen that the Parliament can bring about a distinct change in their lives. The Chairman said, as the House of Elders, Rajya Sabha needs to lead by example. </span><br />
