Oppn stalls Jharkahand House

The Jharkhand Assembly was today adjourned till 2 PM after the Opposition created pandemonium, demanding a CBI probe into the alleged horse trading in the run-up-to the Rajya Sabha polls.As soon as the House convened, the entire Opposition rushed to the well raising slogans against horse trading and demanded a CBI investigation.Speaker CP Singh adjourned the House till 2 PM after his request to the members to allow the Question Hour to be conducted fell on deaf ears.The Opposition's demand for a CBI probe came following the Election Commission on Friday countermanding the Rajya Sabha polls in the state in the wake of allegations of horse trading and seizure of over Rs 2 crore in cash. It said, the election process there has been seriously vitiated.Meanwhile, Jharkhand ruling alliance partner, the BJP, has termed the Election Commission's move as hasty and without adequate thought. Speaking to AIR News, the party spokesperson Pradeep Sinha said the BJP demanded a thorough probe into the matter.The Opposition Jharkhand Vikas Morcha has welcomed the EC move and demanded a CBI probe into the whole matter. Speaking to media in Ranchi, Party Chief Babulal Marandi demanded resignation from the ruling alliance in wake of seizure of huge cash.The Congress has refused to comment on the issue.
