Opposition members in the Rajya Sabha expressed grave concern over the increasing suicidal deaths of the farmers in the country. Raising the issue during Zero hour, Sharad Yadav of JD(U) said the government is importing pulses and other agricultural products inspite of the fact that the farmers in the country have increased the pulses production to the tune of 33 per cent. <br/><br/>Digvijay Singh of the Congress demanded an immediate discussion over the issue and reminded the Chair that he had given two notices in this regard earlier. Responding to this Deputy Chairman Prof. P.J. Kurian said that there will be a short discussion soon on the subject.<br/><br/>
