Opposition parties in the Lok Sabha today demanded the roll back of the price hike of the petroleum products. Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, Anantha Kumar of the BJP demanded that the government should bring down the taxes on petroleum products as it is responsible for inflation. He accused the government of mismanaging the country’s economy.
He said that the Finance Minister should clarify the situation. Basudeb Acharia of the CPIM alleged that the government is reducing subsidy on cooking gas.Members from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu clashed over Cauvery river waters and trooped into the well by raising slogans.
