Director General of CRPF K. Vijoy Kumar says, the operations of Joint force being deployed to tackle Maoist menace will continue in West Bengal. After visiting the Maoists infested Lalgarh in West Midnapore district Kumar said that the situation has remained unchanged and there is no question of looking back. Earlier, he met the State Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee in Kolkata on Tuesday afternoon. State Chief Secretary Samar Ghosh has admitted that the package announced by the Left front Government for surrendering of Maoist did not yield satisfactory results so far. However, he said that the State Government has initiated series of developmental activities for the welfare of the people residing at Jungle Mahal.
