The NATO Commander in Afghanistan General Stanley McChrystal says the operation to push back Taliban from Kandahar has begun. Talking to newsmen in Washington by tele-conference from Afghanistan on Wednesday, he said the operation includes initial military and political efforts designed to secure key roads and districts surrounding the Kandahar city.<br/> Meanwhile, in Denmark, the government has rejected opposition's calls to set a clear withdrawal date for its troops from Afghanistan. Talking to newsmen in Copenhagen, Danish Foreign Minister, however, said that his country can progressively pull out its troops from those areas of Afghanistan where the Afghan security forces take security responsibilities.
