In West Bengal, security forces launched operations this morning at the Burisole forests to nab the another hardcore maoist leader Suchitra Mahato, who managed to flee from the area during yesterday's encounter.
The top maoist leader Koteswar Rao alias Kishanji was killed in the encounter with the security force at the Burisole forest yesterday. The body of Kishanji has been brought to the Jhargram hospital for postmortem.
AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that security measures has been beefed up throughout the state following the death of the top ranking maoist leader. Additional Director General of Railways Mr.Dilip Mitra told AIR that special security measures has been taken on train services plying through Jungalmahal.
The maoist have called a 48 hours bandh in the area from tomorrow in protest against the killing of their top leader.
