Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Ajit Singh has said that the open sky policy between the US and India has immensely improved the people to people contact. Speaking at a meeting with the US delegation led by Secretary of Commerce, John E. Bryson in New Delhi today, Mr. Singh said that onnectivity, trade and tourism between the two countries has improved since 2005 after coming of the open sky policy.
At the meeting, the Minister also stressed on the areas which have been identified by the Indo-US High Technology Cooperation Group for enhanced cooperation for promoting investments and trade in India. This includes Airport Infrastructure Development and Air Traffic Control Modernization.
US Commerce Secretary Bryson said that the US has always rated as very high its collaboration in aviation with India.
