AIADMK supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa says, she is ready for an open debate with DMK president Karunanidhi on the Cauvery issue. Accepting the challenge posed by Karunanidhi, she said she is prepared to face him in the state assembly.

Addressing an election rally Arani, she recalled that Karunanidhi had in a recent public meeting at Tiruvarur asked if the two could debate the issue in the assembly. She said she accepts the challenge.
