The North East Monsoon contributes the most to the rainfall in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It was earlier believed that the Monsoon would set-in today.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the cyclone Luban in the Arabian Sea is expected to further intensify and move towards southern Oman and Yemen coast. Dr Balachandran said, the well-marked low pressure region in the North Andaman Sea and the adjoining Bay of Bengal is expected to gather strength and become a cyclone and drift towards Odisha coast.
