The United Nations says that only a third of the people in the world who need life-saving drugs to fight HIV are actually getting them. The World Health Organisation and two other UN agencies said, only eight developing countries including Cambodia, Romania, and Rwanda have met the target of providing widespread access to anti-retroviral drugs by 2010.An estimated 5.25 million people in developing counties are receiving vital anti-retroviral drugs to slow down the virus that causes AIDS. That number has grown by 1.2 m in the past year but experts believe that 14.6 m people in total need treatment.
