Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said, online process has to be encouraged for transparency in governance. He was speaking at the 11th annual convention of Central Information Commission in New Delhi. Mr Singh said, MyGov open forum has enabled more interaction between people and the Government. He said, the open forum received more than 40,000 suggestions for the Goods and Services tax.<br/><br/>The Minister said, there is not a single allegation of corruption against the present government in it's two and half years of rule. He said, the government has nothing to hide rather it has many things to show. Mr Singh said, those governments, who have something to hide, fear from information.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Personnel Dr Jitendra Singh said, Public grievances have increased four times to 8 lakh annually since the government took over.<br/><br/>He said, transparency and openness of the Government has inspired people to file applications for more information. During the programme, the Home Minister launched the e-Court software which is under implementation in the Commission with the help of National Informatics Centre. He also released a book on RTI success stories. <br/><br/>The book has been prepared for the Commission by Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration. Talking to AIR, Chief Information Commissioner RK Mathur said, the objective of e-Courts is to enable speedy disposal of Appeals and Complaints by using digital technology. He said, the system will allow online filing of appeals and complaints and case disposals.
