The online application process for Kailash Mansarover Yatra has begun today. The Yatra is planned during 12 June to 9 September through Lipulekh and Nathu La. An official release said the route via Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand is estimated to cost about 1.6 lakh rupees per person. It will be conducted in 18 batches of 60 pilgrims each. <br/><br/>The route through Nathu La Pass in Sikkim is motorable and is estimated to cost about 2 lakh rupees per person. It will be conducted in 7 batches of 50 pilgrims each. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 70 years and they can either of the routes. <br/><br/>Senior citizens will be given priority on the Nathu La route. Besides, first time applicants, senior citizens and medical doctors will be given priority. Applicants will be selected and assigned routes and batches through a fair, computer-generated, and gender-balanced selection process.
