ONGC will step up its production within next year in Tripura. This is to supply gas to different gas based thermal power projects and industrial houses in the state. Tripura minister for Industries and Commerce, Jitendra Chowdhury, told the Assembly in Agartala on Friday that ONGC will increase production of natural gas from 1.8 to 5 Million Metric Standard Cubic Meter per day. He was replying to a calling attention notice, brought by ruling CPI(M) MLA Pabitra Kar, Chowdhury.
