Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, ONGC, has recorded the highest ever net profit of sixteen thousand seven hundred sixty-eight crore rupees. This was disclosed by the Chairman and Chief Managing Director of the Corporation, Mr. R.S. Sharma while talking to reporters in New Delhi after the AGM meeting of the Corporation. He said, ONGC retains its position as the highest dividend paying company in the country and the AGM approved aggregate dividend of 33 per cent share for 2009-10. Mr. Sharma said that the corporation had made ten new discoveries of oil and gas so far in this fiscal.
