The Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has posted growth of 48.44 per cent in its net profit to 6077.70 crore rupees as compared to 4094.90 crore rupees in the same period last year, benefiting from high crude oil prices and foreign exchange fluctuations. The total income for the quarter rose by 23.86 per cent to 21216.24 crore rupees as compared to 17128.89 crore rupees in the same periodlast year.During the quarter, the operating profit margin increased by 39.03 per cent from 31.76 per cent for the same quarter last year, the company informed BSE.
