In Assam, a special CBI court in Guwahati sent an official of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to 14-day judicial custody for allegedly taking bribe from a contractor.P.K. Borah working as ONGC General Manager (Civil) in Sibsagar was caught red-handed by a ten-member CBI team at his office on Tuesday while accepting forty thousand rupees as bribe.Borah was produced in the CBI court yesterday. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against the official.
