In Jammu and Kashmir a women died and at least nine other civilians were injured in the firing and shelling from the Pakistan in Samba and Hiranagar sectors along the Indo-Pak international border side on Saturday.

Some of the seriously injured have been shifted to GMC hospital in Jammu. According to BSF sources, the latest round of firing started around 7: 30 am on Saturday.

The exchange of fire was reportedly stopped after 1 p.m.

Civil and Police administration have started the rescue and relief operation in the firing affected villages.

Relief camps have been established in safer places and affected people are being evacuated.
