In Jharkhand, the naxals attacked a railway patrol engine at Gomo- Barkakana rail section this morning. The attacks came at three places in which one RPF jawan was killed two jawans are injured. The police sources told AIR Ranchi correspondent that the pilot engine with the RPF armed unit was going from Dumari Vihar to Dania when the naxals first attacked the engine, which was repulsed by the RPF and the pilot engine kept moving. Then after a short interval, a second attack came from the naxals in which one RPF jawan was killed on the spot. Immediately after this a third attack came when the naxals hurled bombs on the engine halting the movement. The naxals then set the engine on fire and destroyed the track also through a blast. Bokaro SP Saket Kumar Singh has told AIR Correspondent that reinforcement has been dispatched to recover the body and carry out combing operation.
