One Nation, One Ration Card scheme formally launched in Madhya Pradesh

Now they will be able to get ration from anywhere in 21 states. <br />''<br />''One Nation, One Ration Card scheme was formally launched in the state recently. The scheme has facilitated all the eligible families under the National Food Security Act to get ration from any fair price shop in their vicinity on the basis of biometrics.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the scheme, automation of all the 24 thousand 980 Fair Price Shops of the state has been completed by installing POS machines. The distribution of ration among the beneficiaries through portability has also been started in the state. <br />''<br />''The eligible families of Madhya Pradesh will be able to get ration in 21 states including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tripura and Sikkim. <br />''<br />''In addition to this, the beneficiaries of other states will also be entitled to receive ration from shops of Madhya Pradesh. The eligible families of Madhya Pradesh in other states will get wheat and rice at the rate of two and three rupees per kg respectively. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme introduced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will prove extremely beneficial to the migrant labourers.
