One more army jawan killed in avalanche

In Kashmir Valley one more army jawan was killed today in the snow avalanche in Tangdar area of Kupwara district. Defence sources told our Srinagar correspondent that thirteen jawans have been rescued. The rescue operation in the area is still on. Yesterday seventeen personnel of High Altitude Warfare School, Gulmarg were killed in the avalanche in Khilan Marag and another seventeen got injured. Even though there has been little bit of improvement in the weather, the avalanche threat in the higher reaches persist. Meanwhile, Jammu-Srinagar National Highway continues to be closed for the fourth day today due to land slides and avalanches at many places. Four avalanches in Jawahar Tunnel-Qazi Gund sector damaged a CRPF bunker and tower ofa private telecom company. However, there was no loss of life.<br/><br/>
