In Jammu & Kashmir, one militant was killed in encounter with security forces in Handwara forest area in Kupwara district. The encounter between security forces and militants broke out late yesterday evening. An Army spokesman told AIR that an unidentified militant was killed in Krusan area of Lolab forest area in Handwara sector. He said one AK 47 Rifle was recovered. The operation to flush out more militants in the area is in progress. Further details are awaited.
