One-member Committee to inquire into Doping issues

The government has constituted one-member Committee to inquire into issues concerning Doping. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has appointed retired Chief Justice of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Justice Mukul Mudgal for the purpose. The terms of reference of the Committee includes, examining reasons for such large scale prevalence of doping and modus operandi involved, including availability of the prohibited substances in and around training camps. The Committee has also been asked to suggest remedial measures. An official release of the Sports Ministry said that the Committee shall submit its report within six weeks. The Committee will be assisted by Senior Project Manager of National Anti Doping Agency, V. Jayaramaan. .
