In Jammu and Kashmir, one lakh skilled youth will get jobs under Centrally sponsered Himayat scheme in the next five years. This was disclosed by Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh at a function in Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Pampore near Srinagar. The Minster, in the presence of state Chief Minister Omer Abdullah distributed placement orders among 600 youths trained under Himayat project by his Ministry. The project was launched last year as an initiative to enhance skill of the youth for employability in the private sector. The Union Minister announced enhancement of financial support during traing from One Thousand to Two Thousand rupees per person for a period of six months.
