One killed in Rocket attack on Israel Tourist resort

One person was killed and four others injured in Jordanian port city of Aqaba today in rocket fires. Rockets were also fired toward the Israeli red Sea port city of Eilat this morning but no injury was reported.Jordanian Communications Minister Nabil Al-Sharif confirmed that a Grad rocket hit a public street near a major five star hotel in Aqaba killing one person. Eilat District Port Commander Moshe Cohen said that rockets have come from the southern area. No group has claim responsibility for the attacks. Jordan and Egypt are the only Arab states to have full peace accords with Israel.AIR correspondent D. Ojha reports that tension is on the rise between Israel and Palestinian group Hamas after series of rocket attacks on Israel and retaliatory Israeli air strikes on Gaza recently. Grad rocket attacks on Israeli read sea city of Eilat and Jordanian port city of Aqba today have added the fuel to this tension. Last night, an explosion in the house of a Hamas commander badly damaged his house and 12 nearby houses in which 30 people were injured.On Saturday a Hamas commander was killed in an Israeli air strikes which was launched after rocket attacks from Gaza. While Hamas has made Israel responsible for escalation of tension , Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu issued a strong warning to Hamas leaders after rocket attacks on Israeli communities.Palestinian faction Hamas controls Gaza and it does not recognise Israel. In December 2008, series of rocket attacks from Gaza and retaliatory airstrikes by Israel led to the Gaza war in which more than 1300 Palestinians and 7 Israelis lost their lives.
