In Chhattisgarh, one Jawan was killed in an encounter with the naxalites today. According to police sources, a team of ITBP jawans had an encounter with the naxalites in the jungle near Khunera under the Ambagarh Chowki police station area of the Rajnandgaon district earlier today. The encounter which lasted for about one hour, left one jawan seriously injured in the firing. He succumbed to injuries on way to the hospital. Searching of the area is on.Meanwhile there has been no breakthrough in tracking the police jawans abducted by the naxalites in the Narayanpur district of the state. At least 6 persons including 5 policemen were kidnapped by armed naxalites last Tuesday as they were traveling in a passenger bus.
