In Jammu and Kashmir, one terrorist of the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Aarwani area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Police sources told AIR that on a credible input, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by police and other security forces last evening during which hiding terrorists started firing indiscriminately. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter and one of them was killed in the ensuing encounter. The slain terrorist has been identified as Shahid Ahmad of Kulgam. An Army Jawan also sustained injuries during the encounter. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the encounter site, the sources added.</span><br />
