In Chhattisgarh, an Assistant commandant of Central Reserve Police Force- CRPF was martyred, while nine other security personnel were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device- IED blast triggered by Maoists in Bastar region last night.<br />'' <br />'' The incident took place when a joint &nbsp;team of CoBRA battalion – an elite unit of CRPF, Special Task Force and District Reserve Guards was on a search operation in Arabraj Metta hills in Chintagufa area of Sukma district.<br />'' <br />'' In this blast, eight officers and jawans of 206 CoBRA including Second in Command Dinesh Kumar Singh and Assistant Commandant Nitin Bhalerao were injured. <br />''<br />''The injured were immediately rushed to Chintalnar Field Hospital and later airlifted to Raipur, where assistant Commandant Nitin Bhalerao succumbed to his injuries this morning.
