In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy mortar shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch district today left 1 civilian killed while 5 others injured. In yet another incident of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control in this border district, the Pakistani troops resorted to mortar shelling and firing on Indian position as well as civilian areas. <br/><br/>According to defence sources, the forces from across the LoC started unprovoked shelling and firing on some Indian position in Sabzian sector around 7.00 p.m. last night. Later, the shelling was also extended to some civilian areas. The Indian army has been giving a befitting reply to the Pakistani shelling and intermittent exchanges lasted till 3 pm. This was the 9th incident of ceasefire violation along the Line of Control in last seven days.
