On the 41st anniversary of the Emergency, BJP today attacked Congress, saying its authoritarianism was defeated by a united opposition. In a series of tweets, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said RSS, the erstwhile Jansangh and opposition parties fought the battle together and the people supported it.<br/><br/>BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said democracy was throttled on this day which can never be forgotten.<br/>Home Minister Rajnath Singh, at a function organised by Delhi BJP, felicitated several leaders who were imprisoned during Emergency.
