The government has appointed Ms Omita Paul as the Secretary to the President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. An official release says, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Ms Paul, a 1973-batch retired Indian Information Service officer on re-employment on contract basis. Her tenure would be on co-terminus basis with the tenure of the President.
