Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has called for identifying sports talent in the state and nurturing it to make a mark at the national and international levels. Chairing the 52nd meeting of J&K State Sports Council of which he is the President in Jammu today, Omar Abdullah said that sports of natural advantage in the State need to be given concrete attention for growth and development. While assuring his government’s fullest support to encourage and develop sports in the State, Omar said we cannot be masters in all supports but we have to look for the potential area and focus on it specifically while universalizing facilities for all support.He said his government has provided highest ever funds to support sports activities across the State.The Chief Minister asked the Sports Council to prepare a sports proposal for the constitution for District Sports Council to promote an upgrade sports at the District Level.
