Omar appeals separatist groups to shun confrontationist attitude

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said that there is need to step up efforts to find an amicable solution to the Kashmir issue. Winding up the two-day long discussion on the prevailing situation in the valley in the State Assembly on Wednesday, Mr. Abdullah stressed that the issue should not be put on the back burner. He appealed to the separatist groups to shun the confrontationist attitude and become part of sustained dialogue process. Mr. Omar Abdullah lamented the huge loss of life and property in the recent turmoil and blamed the Opposition for fuelling the fire instead of helping in dousing it.
