Noted film actor Mr. Om Puri today inaugurated Indian Panorama section at ongoing 43rd International film festival of India at Panji, Goa in the distinguished presence of Goa Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Parrikar. The section opened with Mr. Shivendra Singh Dungarpur’s Celluloid Man in Non Feature category.
Nineteen films have been selected in this category while 20 have been selected in feature film category with the opening film of Assamese Director Jahanu Barua’s, Bondhan.
Secretary of Ministry of information and broadcasting Mr. Uday Varma assured to work out a mechanism to showcase these films on the public broadcaster like Doordarshan.
Earlier, the cast and crew of the much acclaimed 3D film 'Life of PI” shared their experiences about different aspects of the movie in a joint press conference held this morning on the sidelines of ongoing IFFI. Irrfan Khan and Tabu, stars of the film described the movie a long and a memorable journey.
