Oil Tankers' strike in Jammu and Kashmir has been called off. The call for the indefinite strike was given by Jammu and Kashmir Petrol and Oil Tankers Association and All Jammu and Kashmir Oil Tanker Drivers and Cleaner Union. They were protesting the alleged failure of the state government to protect Oil tankers from increasing attacks in Kashmir Valley. According to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, the strike has been called off and diesel and petrol will be available at all petrol pumps by this evening. People, who had resorted to panic buying of petrol, have been asked not to panic as the supplies will be smooth by this evening or latest by tomorrow morning. AIR Correspondent who visited petrol pumps in Jammu city saw long queues of vehicles and two wheelers at all the petrol pumps for filling their tanks. But, most of them had to return empty handed.
