Oil spill from sunken ship threatens Mumbai's shores

Three days after the Panamian Ship MV Rak sank off near the Mumbai coast, a danger of oil spill became visible on Sunday. The directorate general of shipping is trying to check if there is any rupture in the ship’s oil tank. Two Coast Guard vessels and a Chetak helicopter used for spreading oil dispersants are involved in arresting the spill.
