Oil rises toward 60 dollars a barrel

Oil today rose toward 60 dollars a barrel on expectations that OPEC plus countries are committed to restraining global supplies even as the demand outlook improves.

In intra-day trade, Brent crude prices were trading around 59 dollars and 50 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were around 56 dollars and 90 cents per barrel.
