Oil prices rose above 80 dollars a barrel today in Asia. Benchmark crude was up 47 cents to 80.09 dollars a barrel at midday Singapore time in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.Dealers said better indexes in stock markets globally and signs of a drop in US oil supplies in recent weeks, resulted in the rise of oil prices.
