Oil remains above $80 in Asian trade?

Oil prices remained above 80 dollars a barrel in Asian trade today. New York's light sweet crude was up 63 cents at 80.44 dollars a barrel while Brent North Sea crude gained 61 cents to 78.80 dollars in the morning trade. Analysts said the rise is due to rattling of the market in view of a strike at French energy giant Total and concerns over Iran's nuclear programme.
