Oil rebounds in Asian trade

Oil prices rebounded in Asian trade today after plunging overnight on signs of faltering demand in the United States and China, the world's top oil-consuming nations. New York's main contract, light sweet crude rose 88 cents to 99.09 dollar a barrel in morning trade, while Brent North Sea crude gained 93 cents to 113.50 dollar.
