Oil prices were higher in the afternoon Asian trade on Monday as a weaker dollar outweighed a bleak US economic outlook. New York's main contract, light sweet crude rose 11 cents to 76 a US Dolllor barrel while Brent North Sea crude gained three cents to 78.90 US Dollor.
