Oil prices up in Asian trade

Oil prices rose in Asian trade today as the West slapped fresh sanctions on Russia over its actions in Ukraine, although gains were capped as the measures were seen as less aggressive than expected.New York's West Texas Intermediate for June delivery, climbed five cents to USD 100.89 in mid-morning trade whileBrent North Sea crude rose 15 cents to USD 108.27 for its June contract.
